“We been through real situations, a couple times you had to punch a couple bitches faces.” – Jim Jones

Today was Ace’s daughter birthday party. Bless had made sure to threaten me and Prayer to bring a gift for her. I didn’t feel like leaving the crib, but since it meant so much to Bless, I tossed on some sweats and headed to my mama’s house. After the album release party I should have been on cloud nine. My album was at the top of the charts and everyone was anticipating my announcement for a tour. I was fucking excited, then that shit dropped when I thought about Kamaya and Sin. I had two women that I loved, but I knew one of them would end up hurt. Sin, being more hurt than anyone. I loved Kamaya because we had history. She had always been down with me since we met in the visitation room. I loved Kamaya and she was the one I looked forward to when I was released. We had planned our entire life together. Truth be told, she was the one that made it easier for me to do my time. She was my heart, world and all that wrapped into one. Since I been out of prison, she was all that I knew and had always remained solid. I never had to worry about her clout chasing. If anything, she hated the lime light and never wanted to be a part of shit.

At first, I thought that shit was cool. A woman that didn’t give a fuck about my rap career. A chick who just wanted to stay out the way and focus on her own career, that shit was like finding a rare ruby these days. Then, the bigger I became, the more I realized I wanted someone there to clap for me. I wanted my woman to be by my side at events. Shit, I wanted the world to know that I wasn’t this hardcore rapper who fucked bitches and sent them on their way. I wasn’t that type of nigga. I was the type of nigga that liked date nights, chilling in the crib and watching all those girly ass reality shows just because that’s what my girl liked. The shit that bugged me about Kamaya was that I wasn’t the type of nigga that liked to party. Once in a while I wanted to be in the club with my girl, and she always turned it down. The night of Kni’s welcome party was the first time she had come out. Prayer and Bless was surprised that she even came. Like today, I told her that I had to attend a party at my mom’s crib and she claimed she had something come up.

“About time you showed up to my step-daughter’s party. We don’t appreciate your late ass,” Bless met me at the front door. There was big ass balloons everywhere. Behind him inside the house, it was a bunch of kids running around and screaming.
